My introvert nature was on full alert in Page, Arizona. I avoided crowds and skipped Horseshoe Bend, but I did hike Hanging Garden Trail and a couple other incredible places.

As I head West through Arizona, I’m making life changes.
I hike through Petrified Forest National Park and work on my 10K steps, drive through the Wigwam Motel, stand on the corner in Winslow, Arizona, and check out the Meteor Crater all before I make my way to Sedona for a few days of car camping, hiking, and getting some help with sleep.

Minivan camping, traveling, and hiking the great Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan.
I found a quiet campsite in the woods, and managed a van “bath” and washed my hair before going to the Dunes for a challenging sand hike to Lake Michigan.
Beautiful fall trees on the drive to my next adventure.

Steamboat Springs, Colorado was on my travel and explore list.
Besides the magical drive through the mountains, I did some car camping, beautiful hikes, and watched the mountain sunsets.
I bought some new gear to make my road trips a little better… a small chair, an organizer, and a better light.

I kept searching for a place to hike in Oklahoma. I was tested… until I found a wonderful, unexpected alternative! Turns out I didn’t need a “hike,” I just needed to get out and move! And a lake full of turtles! I love these surprise detours!
Much soul searching on this drive… I’m going to find a way to take more road trips, more car camping, and much more traveling the USA!

I did some car camping at a state park with caves, so I did the cave tour.
I DIDN’T almost hit a bus and had no luck alligator hunting. 😄
But had some beautiful excursions while exploring Florida, and I managed to get in my minivan workout and 10,000 steps.
