Today’s Challenge: Get social. Make plans with somebody this week and get out of the routine. Shake things up. Have a little fun! šŸ™‚

Gosh,Ā I’m going through so many crazy changes…Ā Some I’m excited about, someĀ make me sad, but it’s whatĀ this amazing life is all about. During these times of change I know how easy it is to isolate–I’ve done it. IĀ usually use the excuse that I’m too busy with writingĀ and work to make timeĀ with friends.Ā But in truth, sometimes I just want to be alone.Ā BeingĀ an introvert,Ā time aloneĀ is how IĀ recharge my batteries. But I can see that too much time alone can also drain energy and happiness. Finding that balance is key. So if it’s been awhile since you called a friend to have coffee or lunch, maybe it’s time to reach out. Your friend just might need a friend, too. šŸ™‚

Don’t Turn Your #Feelings Inward Against…

Today’s Challenge: Don’t turn your feelings inward against yourself or you could end up with depression.

Look Through Old Pictures and #Memories

A

Today’s Challenge: Look through your old pictures and memories.

I recently went through hard times with somebody I love. I was also in the process of spring cleaning and organizing.

When I came across boxes of old pictures and memories, I slowed down enough toĀ reminisce.

I cried. I laughed. I took pictures of pictures and text them to my sisters. ( I like that rhyme šŸ™‚ )

I separated my memories intoĀ three separate boxes: family, friends, and my own personal accomplishments.

It was good for me. I was reminded of my accomplishments, good friends, and loving family. I thought about past loves, family and friends in heaven,Ā and lost dreams.

Going through my past felt like a type of meditation; I blocked out everythingĀ but the treasured memoriesĀ I held on to.

And I learned that no matter what problems I go through with people I love, I will never forget the good times we shared or the positiveĀ impact they had on my life.

Do First What Will Get You to Your #Goal

Today’s Challenge: Do first what will get you to your goal.

If You’re #Annoyed or #Stressed…

water

Today’s Challenge: Drink more water.

During moments of stress or when you are just feeling annoyed by everyone, go get a bottle of waterĀ or aĀ big glass of water–it’s possible you’re dehydrated. šŸ™‚ Easy fix!

#Thank You for the #Support

I wanted to thank everybody for their support and encouragement… meant the world to me. ā¤

I’m doing great and so happy I had the surgery. I already feel better. šŸ™‚

A few days after surgery, I felt great and over did it. They tell you to take it easy for 2 weeks for a reason. LOL. I learned my lesson. šŸ™‚

I’m on my second week of recovery, and I’m now taking the doctor’s orders very seriously. I do not want problems–I want to heal right the first time.

I’m slowly getting back to my life and I’m excited. I have big plans!

Thanks again for all the support. ā¤ ā¤ ā¤

Take Time for Yourself

Today’s Challenge: Take time for yourself.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I will be away forĀ several days becauseĀ I’m having minor surgery next week. I’ve decided to unplug and focus on reading, writing and relaxingĀ while I prepare and recover. I’m excited.
If I’m too bored, I’ll probablyĀ check in with my favorite blogsĀ and bloggers. Yay! šŸ™‚
Have an amazing weekend… and next week. šŸ™‚
Talk Less
listen
Today’s Challenge: Talk less.
I’m guilty. Sometimes I talk too much and don’t listen enough. Sometimes I’m so caught up in my thoughts and everything I need to say, that I stop listening. Sometimes I’m so sure I have the answers to the problems andĀ I’m quick to share my (in my mind) brilliance.
But, thereĀ are times when I’m quiet and I listen. I slow down and I hear what other people say to me. And it’sĀ amazing to actually listen to the people we care about. To really listen.Ā Something else happens, too. We start to listen to body language and the toneĀ of the voice and the emotion…Ā and suddenly we’reĀ closer toĀ people around us… we’re connecting.
