I spent a few days adventuring around Colorado Springs and in the mountains.
I did something I said I’d never do – Royal Gorge Bridge.
I was almost taken out by a goat – Bishop Castle.
I ate in a plane – The Airplane Restaurant.
I checked out the Manitou Cliff Dwellings.
And I ended up stealth camping in a hotel parking lot.
Wonderful few days…

Winter Camping at a Colorado Reservoir
Coldest night yet while winter camping at Horsetooth Reservoir in Colorado.
I cooked a hot meal in my van for the first time, did some hiking/walking and exploring to get my 10,000 steps, lost my solar lights, and made a snow angel. All in all, it was a wonderful, needed trip.

Fighting a cold and the mystery fog while traveling home to spend Christmas with family.

My first time protecting myself on a buggy hike. Several layers to this clip… Overkill? Maybe. 😁
But it turned out to be a great hike… Totally worth it!

While sightseeing on my road trip home, I visited Thorncrown Chapel, did some hiking by Lake Leatherwood, saw the world’s largest praying hands, and did some other “failed” exploring… Not really a failure, because I always enjoy the journey traveling in my van.

Traveling in my van through the South… Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas. Truckstop shower, Van workout — Back and Triceps, Exploring Helen Keller’s birthplace, and an overnight at KOA.

On my roadtrip through Georgia and Alabama, I did some hiking (and tripping), sightseeing miniatures at a church and worlds first drive-through museum, and more experiences as an introverted traveler.

While in Illinois, I manage to get a quick morning workout in before visiting Ferne Clyffe State Park and Superman.
I do some hiking to get my steps, discover my new favorite thing, and I bought myself a green stone to remind me of Superman and the Fortress of Solitude.
I’m staying faithful to my roadtrip fitness and not being in a rush.
I’m still loving every second!

On my roadtrip to Florida pt. 2, I visit a sunflower farm in Kansas and the Cahokia Mounds State Park in Illinois, where I do my leg workout by climbing stairs.
What a great way to get some roadtrip fitness and see some beautiful places!
