I visited Mushroom Rock State Park, Castle Rock Badlands, Monument Rocks, and Little Jerusalem State Park.

I found a somewhat secluded spot off the highway for a night of quiet, stealth camping. I buggered up my back, ran low on food and gas, but we (me and my van) powered through.

Winter Camping at a Colorado Reservoir
Coldest night yet while winter camping at Horsetooth Reservoir in Colorado.
I cooked a hot meal in my van for the first time, did some hiking/walking and exploring to get my 10,000 steps, lost my solar lights, and made a snow angel. All in all, it was a wonderful, needed trip.

While sightseeing on my road trip home, I visited Thorncrown Chapel, did some hiking by Lake Leatherwood, saw the world’s largest praying hands, and did some other “failed” exploring… Not really a failure, because I always enjoy the journey traveling in my van.

If you can find the time to watch/listen, you won’t be disappointed.
He seems to genuinely care about us… especially kids.
It is clear we are moving in the wrong direction. The statistics he mentions are heartbreaking. How did we let things get this bad?? 😔

While in Florida, I explored beaches, state parks, and other tourist attractions. My pedometer stopped working, but I didn’t stop moving! 😊

I love the Badlands! Fun hiking, exploring, sightseeing, and of course, the Buffalo! Just an overall great road trip traveling in my van. I wish I could have stayed longer.
