Minivan camping, traveling, and hiking the great Sleeping Bear Dunes in Michigan.
I found a quiet campsite in the woods, and managed a van “bath” and washed my hair before going to the Dunes for a challenging sand hike to Lake Michigan.
Beautiful fall trees on the drive to my next adventure.
Wisconsin is beautiful! I made a few roadside attraction stops, checked out a cheese shop, and did some car camping at a truck stop. EXCITED for tomorrow’s ADVENTURE!
Solo Camping and Solo Hiking on my Road Trip through the Midwest.
I had a beautiful riverside campsite in Nebraska. Alone on my hike, a man made me uncomfortable, so I did not finish exploring Smith Falls. Found a nice Missouri River overlook, had a truckstop shower, and then spent the night in my best friend’s driveway. Cleaned up at a rest stop, and a fellow traveler forgot their cooler in the parking lot. Loved exploring more of Nebraska.
Traveling around Nebraska, exploring, hiking, and van camping.
I survived a brief wasp attack while hiking Scotts Bluff, avoided some loud people at Fort Niobrara overlook, and arrived late to my campsite. But I loved every second!
Steamboat Springs, Colorado was on my travel and explore list. Besides the magical drive through the mountains, I did some car camping, beautiful hikes, and watched the mountain sunsets. I bought some new gear to make my road trips a little better… a small chair, an organizer, and a better light.
I had a hot night of car camping at Walmart, drained all three of my fans trying to stay cool, and did some dash cooking while driving.
After finding my spot for the night, a good meal, and a good night’s sleep, I decided to stick around for The World’s Largest Time Capsule. What a wonderful experience! This road trip brought back so many childhood memories. And of course, John Wayne!
Solo road trip leaving Colorado to explore the World’s Largest Time Capsule in Seward, Nebraska. I struggled because I’m so introverted and have a hard time with crowds… Stressing myself out before the event even happened… Not the best way to live. lol 😄 I also had a hard time finding a place to car camp for the night.
