On my roadtrip, I did some roadside attractions on Route 66, sightseeing and hiking at Alley Springs and Mill in Missouri, over-ate gas station junk food, and had a night of truckstop camping. 🙂
Had a wonderful time exploring Kansas while traveling and car camping in my van… though being alone can be challenging at times.
I stayed at Wilson Lake and visited S. P. Dinsmoor and the Garden of Eden. And I (hopefully) saved a turtle, all while getting in my 10,000 steps. More Kansas exploring on next video.
I spent a few days adventuring around Colorado Springs and in the mountains.
I did something I said I’d never do – Royal Gorge Bridge. I was almost taken out by a goat – Bishop Castle. I ate in a plane – The Airplane Restaurant. I checked out the Manitou Cliff Dwellings. And I ended up stealth camping in a hotel parking lot.
VAN TOUR of my No Build, Camping and Traveling Minivan…
While I was camping at Horsetooth Reservoir in Colorado, I decided to do a van tour of my very simple, no build minivan. After a year and a half of traveling in my van, sightseeing, road trips, camping (sometimes stealth), exploring, hiking, roadside attractions, minivan fitness… I am still crazy in love with my simple minivan!
Coldest night yet while winter camping at Horsetooth Reservoir in Colorado.
I cooked a hot meal in my van for the first time, did some hiking/walking and exploring to get my 10,000 steps, lost my solar lights, and made a snow angel. All in all, it was a wonderful, needed trip.
While sightseeing on my road trip home, I visited Thorncrown Chapel, did some hiking by Lake Leatherwood, saw the world’s largest praying hands, and did some other “failed” exploring… Not really a failure, because I always enjoy the journey traveling in my van.
I delayed posting this video because of Hurricane Milton. I’m thankful it was not as bad as expected… still heartbreaking. My heart and prayers are with everybody suffering from hurricane devastation.
I left Florida before Milton made landfall.
This is the last stretch of my road trip to Florida. I went through beautiful Tennessee, Georgia, and into Florida. I visited Rock City and a couple of state parks. I was able to spend a little time in Florida before I had to leave.
